At the AA meeting this morning they were discussing Tradition 3 and how many people present were not in fact 'pure alcoholics'. In Miami the majority of attendees identify as drug users as well as Alcoholics.  They went on to explain that the focus of AA was to recover from the desease of alcohol IS m this being the  (restless irritable and discontent ) condition that many of us had before we picked up and the one that can remain with us througout our sobriety and ultimatley take us back to using. They explained that the purpose of working an AA program was to deal with our thinking rather than our drinking.

One member said 'I think of it like this Alcohol Becomes Crack.'
