Anything Goes
When I was a tour guide at Highgate Cemetery they told us that IHS an insignia that appears on tombstones means Jesus Hominum Salvatore (Jesus Savour (of) Man) or I Have Suffered. They never could explain why Jesus began with and I and not a J but as I am sure you know its pointless arguing with religious people. Here we see the rainbow flag that symbolises the start of the Miami Beach gay section. On top is a crow, it was yelling its head off. Of course when I tried to take it's picture it cleared off like all wildlife do when they see a camera.

Goodbye For Now
Stray Cat came for her last bowl of biscuits just now. My case is packed. I am about to put my computer away and go a meet Ryan downstairs for my ride to the airport. Ryan just messaged me to say he is awake. He has a lot of Virgo in his sign like me he understands .....

Living Life In Colour
So the miracle is that the package came and I have a pile of beautiful new clothes. Gregory Parkinson's clothes are a mass of colour and texture. Even as an admirer of his work and long time friend when I open a box of his clothes I am thinking how the hell do you expect me to wear that? For a pale skinned Londoner wearing colour is really challenging and radical. Gregory's clothes do not flatter waistlines or follow trends they are consistently obtuse and self referring.
Yesterday Anthropology launched a new collection of clothing called simply Gregory This line represents the designers signature prints and styles in a collection that is more available and affordable.

Drying Out
I decided that I should keep busy to fend off a bout of depression. I thought I would do some housework even though its not Friday and Richard isn't coming till Tuesday. I took a bag of coloured clothes to Grand Peasant Central (aka the local laundromat). This did nothing to alleviate the hatred I felt for the world. Most people in there are Cuban men, although I have no evidence to support this and I do not have much of a work ethic myself, I am strongly of the impression that these skanks babbling on cell phones in the laundry are married to women who work a hell of a lot harder than they do. I was trying out this new laundry product that my friend gave me samples of. It might be secret so I better not say too much more.

What lies beneath
Another reason I am so concerned about, well the only two things I am concerned about, my tan and my weight is that I got some new underwear and I want to look good in it. It's so pretty - actually greener than it looks here. I got it from Gap - I don't think I have shopped in Gap at home for years but here they have a fantastic lingerie section. I remember looking around Coco La Mere with Bob when we were going to get coffee at Monmouth Street. I was picking up expensive pants and stuff commenting on how pretty and expensive they were.
Why would you consider paying £50 for a pair of knickers? Have you ever had sex with a man who took any notice of the kind of knickers you were wearing? The answer is no actually at no point ever in living memory (although there are a few years that I can't account for) has any man ever stopped at the first hurdle and said ' great pants by the way' and yet I would rather die than show up in a non matching bra and knickers set. Conditioned from childhood to associate wearing good underwear with survival of road traffic accidents and avoidance of embarrasment if one accidentally ends up having sex with someone on the way back from Tesco.

Faith
Richard slapped my claws away from his arm and marched out into the traffic. I screamed. He said, you just push your fear on to others, jelly fish, sharks, roaches, on coming traffic. He said the way you scream makes me want to find roaches. I told him I didnt really feel that he was entirely gay and we had a chat about a kind of sliding scale of gayness. He said someone has made a chart about it. He is definately at the straight edge of gay.

Home alone
Richard is leaving for New York today, he will be back on Friday. I love it when he is here and I will love it when he is gone. I wonder if I will ever have such a cool set up with a straight man?

I'll protect you from the truth, you'll never hear it from me
All men are homosexual, some turn straight. It must be very odd to be a straight man because your sexuality is hopelessly defensive

I dont want to start a fight but there is truth in this .........Before my heart turned to ice and I used to cry about men and why they went cold on me etc. I used to talk to my gay friend and he always told me, 'You have to understand that men like men. They get their self esteem from their work and the position they hold with other men. Essentially they don't like women, that's why it can appear that you are so disposable to them because in many ways you are.'
