Moon Rise

The last full moon of 2012 rose over the ocean this evening.
I walked along the shore until it got dark

Apocalypse Now

It was actually quite overcast on the beach today. The sky was full of planes advertising hideous clubs and casino's and the sand was full of trashy families with screaming kids.  Still in the spirit of endurance I managed to do an hour on each side to keep my tan up to speed.

Full Moon

I went down to the beach this evening to watch the moon rise over the ocean. Its not actually full but very nearly.
The sea is very silvery at this time of day. The sun is setting behind the ocean in the West but the Eastern skies are pink as well.
At first the moon appears white in the sky. I suppose it has been there all along but is not apparent until the sun begins to set.
As the sky darkens the moon gets brighter and begins to cast a golden light across the ocean.
It get brighter as the evening goes along.
The golden light seems to spread across the water.
It runs all the way up to the shore and dissipates into the sand.
It's magical - I never see this at home.

Promises Promises

The dreadful weather we were promised did not arrive yet. It can change quickly though as clouds blow in across the ocean pretty quickly. Unlike in London they also blow over equally fast. Either way my work on the beach is done for the day. Let it pour.

Another Day In Hell

Each day is more perfect than the last. The walk to the beach seems longer and the walk across the sand harder. This whole tanning project is actually quite draining.
Although I am making some good progress. My beach schedule is 2 hours a day arriving on the sand no earlier than 2pm.
